Tim is a founder of Shorepoint Capital Partners and has over 20 years of financial services experience. As an independent investment advisor for over 11 years, he has assisted individuals and families to develop and execute long-term planning and investment strategies. He also advises corporate and non-profit clients on their 401(k), defined benefit, and other retirement plans and has successfully nurtured long-term CPA relationships. Tim’s letter to the editor on equity risk and valuation was featured in an issue of Barron’s. Recently, Tim wrote the Introduction to the latest editions of the investment classics written by Humphrey B. Neill, The Art of Contrary Thinking and The Ruminator, which have remained in print for several decades.
Tim previously worked as a financial advisor for Morgan Stanley and S.G. Cowen. After graduating from Harvard College, Cum Laude, where he played varsity baseball, he then served as a Head Teaching Fellow at Harvard University and earned Certificates of Distinction in Teaching consecutively for all three years.
Tim lives in Canton, MA, with his wife, daughter and son and enjoys creative writing. His fiction has appeared in Doubletake Magazine and 25 and Under/Fiction, and his poems have been published in Sojourn. He currently serves on the Development and Investment Committees at Community Preparatory School in Providence, RI.
