Tim founded Shorepoint Capital Partners in 2010 and has over 23 years of financial services experience. As an independent investment advisor for over 15 years, he has assisted individuals and families to develop and execute long-term planning and investment strategies. He also advises corporate and non-profit clients on their 401(k), defined benefit, and other retirement plans and has successfully nurtured long-term CPA relationships. Tim’s letter to the editor on equity risk and valuation was featured in an issue of Barron’s. Tim also wrote the Introduction to the latest edition of the investment classics written by Humphrey B. Neill, The Art of Contrary Thinking and The Ruminator, which have remained in print for several decades.
Tim previously worked as a financial advisor for Morgan Stanley and S.G. Cowen. After graduating cum laude from Harvard College, where he played varsity baseball, he served as a Head Teaching Fellow at Harvard University and earned Certificates of Distinction in Teaching consecutively for all three years.
Tim lives in Canton, MA, and Westport, MA and has a teenage daughter and son. Tim enjoys creative writing; his fiction has appeared in Doubletake Magazine and 25 and Under/Fiction, and his poems have been published in Sojourn. Tim is a Dunkin Donuts franchisee and investor in private equity, real estate, and several food related companies. He currently serves on the Development and Investment Committees at Community Preparatory School in Providence, RI. Tim is also a Director on the Classical High School Alumni Association Board where he chairs the Development Committee as well as works on the Finance Committee.
